Walk away with a go-to recovery protocol for the exact moment your mind goes blank mid-presentation

You're the person people come to when they need the answer. You're articulate. Quick on your feet. Full of ideas and interesting perspectives.

Until you walk into a boardroom.

Your heart races. Your mind goes blank. You lose your train of thought and start rambling about something you could explain in your sleep.

And suddenly, you don't sound anything like yourself.

Which is especially frustrating because you prepared. You rehearsed. You knew your material. Yet you're watching Jennifer lead the presentation you know you could have nailed.

You know you have the expertise. You know you have something worth saying, and you're so ready to be the woman they automatically look to when it's time to lead the next high-stakes presentation.

But that's not happening yet, and here's why...

The Real Reason Nothing's Changed

You're rehearsing your presentation word-for-word, but this is causing you to blank and freeze the moment someone asks something you didn't prepare for, which is why you struggle to think on your feet and speak with the same ease, clarity and authority you have when you're talking about your work normally with colleagues or friends.

You've been putting yourself forward for years. Presentations. Boardrooms. Conferences. Academic settings. And you've assumed that the more you do it, the easier it will eventually become. But exposure isn't the same as learning how to speak under pressure. Which is why you are not walking into an important presentation feeling clear, composed and ready to say exactly what you came to say.

You're spending hours perfecting your slides and adding keywords to remind you what to say, but while you end up with a perfectly polished deck, this results in you relying heavily on the screen to guide you through your presentation instead of being able to speak from what you truly know. This is why you can't yet communicate with the same grounded steadiness and easy connection you feel when you're talking about your work one-on-one.

This isn't about performing better in front of people, wording things perfectly, or sounding superbly polished.

It's about what happens in your body in the seconds before you open your mouth: the awful tightening in your stomach, the pounding heart like it’s jumping out of your mouth, the mind going blank right when you need to say something.

You already know what you're feeling is a stress response. You just don't know what to do about it in any meaningful way.

What Actually Works :

Most people think they need to practice more in the mirror or buy another communication course in articulation training.

But that's not the real issue.

Because when you're standing in front of senior leaders or your peers, your nervous system reads that pressure as a threat, so your brain shifts attention from "What do I want to say?" to "What are they thinking about me? What if I mess this up?" It's busy protecting you from the possibility of social rejection, instead of helping you think and speak clearly.

That's why you can know your script like the back of your hand the day before, and still go completely blank exactly when you need it most.

You don't need to get rid of the nerves.

You need to learn how to help your brain and body feel safe enough in a conference room when speaking to peers and superiors, so that you can stay focused and speak from what you already know, even under pressure.

Mastering this is what took me from watching audience members leave halfway through my talk to being the one people specifically ask to lead high-stakes presentations.

Here's What's Possible :

When you know how to create a sense of safety in your body while presenting to large audiences of peers and superiors..., here's what changes:

You'll hear your own voice sounding steady, clear and natural, so you can stand in front of any boardroom or conference room speaking like the sharp, capable woman you are in every other conversation outside that room.

You'll have a moment where your mind goes blank or you lose your place, but you'll know how to get your thoughts back and keep going without letting that moment throw you off.

And when someone asks a question you didn't expect, you'll be able to pause, think, and give a clear answer instead of panicking, looking at your slides, or talking just to fill the silence.

This Is Exactly What I'm Teaching You Inside the Presentation Comeback Session

The Presentation Comeback Session is a 1:1 60-minute session on Telegram, a private messaging app, where we work together on the exact moments that make you freeze, ramble or lose your train of thought during a presentation so you can stay clear, composed and in control when you're speaking in conference rooms with many people watching.
Inside This, We Focus On…

Step 1: Discover Your Speaking Pattern

We build awareness of the physical sensations you're feeling in the moments right before you blank, and the flash of inner commentary that shows up right alongside them. Do you start worrying about how you're coming across? Lose your place because you're trying to remember the exact words? Start rushing because you can feel yourself forgetting your point? We'll pinpoint your pattern, so you can recognise what's happening and can take control.

Step 2: Retrain Your Body's Response to the Room

You'll learn a breathing technique drawn from yoga and neuroscience that you can use in the moment your thoughts disappear. Instead of panicking, rushing to fill the silence or desperately trying to remember your script, you'll know how to slow things down and give your brain the space to find the thought again.

Step 3: Build Your Personal Comeback Protocol

We'll create a simple, repeatable protocol for the moment you lose your words. You'll know what to do when you forget what you were saying, lose your place or get asked a question you didn't prepare for. So one blank moment doesn't turn into five minutes of rambling, staring at your slides or wondering what the hell you're going to say next. You know how to recover and keep going.

Why Me?

I live in rural Japan, where I already stand out just by existing. There is no blending into the back of the room for me.

And I'm a university lecturer. Public speaking isn't something I can avoid. It's part of my job.

Yet for years, I dreaded every presentation. I'd see people falling asleep in the front row. Someone would quietly leave halfway through. Friends would smile and nod, not because I was particularly compelling, but because they were willing me to get to the end.

And I'd done everything I was told to do. I rehearsed. I researched. I memorised my presentation word for word.

But the moment I stood up to speak, something changed. My heart would race. My thoughts would disappear. I'd lose my place and start searching for the next sentence while trying to hide the fact that I'd lost it.

Then I started seeing the exact same thing happen with my students. They weren't underprepared. Some of them had practised for hours. They knew their material. But the second the pressure hit, they couldn't access what they already knew.

One student in particular had done everything right and still completely lost his way during a presentation. And that was the moment I started questioning the advice we'd all been given.

Maybe the answer wasn't more rehearsal. Because rehearsal teaches you what to say when everything goes to plan. It doesn't teach you what to do when your mind suddenly goes blank. I started looking at what I already did differently when I wasn't presenting.

My yoga practice had taught me how to notice what was happening in my body when my breathing changed, my heart rate climbed and my thoughts started racing, and how to use my breath to bring myself back before those sensations took over. So we took those same principles and applied them to speaking.

I've since developed that into a method I've used with well over a thousand university students, with clients who give research presentations to audiences of 400+, and it's taken me from stumbling through a presentation to an audience of four, to confidently leading workshops of 100+ people myself.

And that's exactly what the Presentation Comeback Session is built to do.

What Happens If Nothing Changes

You can keep rehearsing every presentation to death, hoping this will finally be the time your mind doesn't go blank and you don't lose your words.

Or you can spend one hour learning what to do when your brain does exactly that, so you can finally walk into a conference room without wondering, “What if I blank?” because you know you can recover, find your words and be seen as the powerful expert you are.
